Installation with Screws or Adhesive?

There are two main installation methods: adhesive and screws.

Using adhesive:

You can glue the panels directly onto the wall. Be aware that adhesive can damage the wall or wallpaper if panels are later removed. One tube of mounting adhesive is enough for approximately 1.5 panels.

Using screws:

For wall installations, we recommend 15 panel screws per panel (3 screws across, 5 down).

For ceiling installations, use 25 screws per panel for maximum stability (5 across, 5 down).

You can also combine both methods if wall material makes screwing difficult but you still want extra hold.

Mounting Acoustic Panels on Different Wall Types

Brick wall:

Uneven surfaces make gluing alone less effective. Use screws with wall plugs (rawlplugs) for a strong and durable attachment. You can also combine adhesive and screws for easier alignment.

Concrete wall:

Concrete is smooth and stable—ideal for installation. Adhesive is often the easiest option, but we recommend screws (or both) for maximum stability, especially if panels carry additional weight.

Plasterboard wall:

For plasterboard, ensure the wall can handle the weight. Screws should go into wooden or metal studs. If not possible, use drywall plugs.

Ceiling Installation

When installing panels on ceilings, safety is essential. Always use screws (never adhesive alone) to ensure a secure hold. We recommend 25 screws per panel (5 across, 5 down).

Concrete ceiling: Use screws with plugs.

Plasterboard ceiling: Screw into studs or use plugs.

Wooden ceiling: Screws can go directly into the wood.
